Henrico Address Change

Henrico County
Post Office Box 90775
Henrico, VA 23273-0775

Who Should Use the "Henrico" Address?
With the exception of Glen Allen and Sandston, if you live in Henrico County, or your business is located in Henrico, then you may now use the "Henrico, Virginia" address. For the zip codes not surveyed (23222, 23223, 23226, 23227 and 23230) the USPS advised that you may now use "Henrico, Virginia" permanently. For mailing addresses in zip code 23075, "Henrico" is the preferred address, but "Highland Springs, Virginia" remains an acceptable alternate community name.

What's the difference between a "secondary" and "primary" address?
A primary address is the address preferred by the post office. However, the post office will recognize a "secondary" address, meaning it is an acceptable address and your mail will be delivered.

No Formal Address Change Required
You do not need to (and should not) initiate a formal address change through the USPS. Simply begin using "Henrico, Virginia" in your correspondence. Over time, you will begin to receive some mail from various utilities and businesses using the "Henrico, Virginia" address. Any mail sent to you from Henrico County Government will also use the new address.

Redistricting Maps

Kudos to Lisa and Susie for getting the word out about the school redistricting!

If someone wants to know where to get the map or wants one printed, they are available on the School's Website. The link is near the bottom and directs you to this page: http://www.henrico.k12.va.us/boundaries/redistricting.html

County Comprehensive Plan

A county planner came by today and dropped off the County Comprehensive Plan and Land Use Maps notebook. It's on our ref shelves, by the professional journals. These documents show how the county hopes to develop property.

The information is also online, here.

I posted the announcement about their public meetings above the holds shelf. A couple extras are on the ref desk.
