Remember the customer service tip to enter through the front door of your business (library) every now and then? The Swiss Army Librarian took it one step further and proposed Work Like a Patron Day. Don't just walk in, try to get some stuff done.
Sit at the public PCs - how dirty are those screens?
Use the public restroom.
Library Snark took it the funny direction and added things like Randomly turn off computers.

Serving Our Diverse Customers
Barbara and I attended a great Customer Service Workshop with
Carol Susan DeVaney with so many credentials they could fill a skyscraper;
here are some online resource links about diversity, cultures and
immigration, she provided.

Customer Service
Nothing we haven't hear before, but I like his reaction to a patron who thought asking the librarian was going to be "painful." Last Librarian blog, here (via Library Stuff).
