Conference Room

I forget who exactly we are allowing to use the conference room. I thought that we were mostly reserving that room for county agencies. Am I wrong?

This morning, NDUTIME Family Services used the room, I assume because A was already reserved, however, the estimated attendance was only 2. When the patron left, I mentioned that if he is only expecting 2 people, that I recommend reserving the 2 person study rooms if at all possible.

Can someone let me know exactly what I should tell people about reserving the 8 person conference room? I just want to make sure that I am not giving out faulty information. Thanks!

As per the Meeting Room Policy that patrons accept, "The Library maintains meeting/conference rooms of various sizes for Library-related activities. Use of these meeting/conference rooms by community groups for non-profit activities is permitted as schedules and space permit."

Oops. Hit publish too soon.

Community groups are PTAs, sororities, civic associations, etc., etc. Meeting rooms are also available to profits doing non-profit work like training. County agencies book meeting rooms.

Study rooms (A,B,C at NP) are meant for people studying.

"Requests for meeting or conference room use must be made by an adult library cardholder at least 18 years of age. Study rooms are intended for small group study (typically 2-4 persons, depending on the posted capacity of a room) and requests for their use can be made by a library cardholder of any age."
