Youth Work Permits
A patron came in this morning and was looking for a work permit for her son. After a lot of searching, I found out that the forms needed are not available in PDF form online but are kept by the high school guidance counselors.

Work Permits For Youth
Work permits are required for individuals 14 and 15 years of age. The student should contact their junior or high school's guidance counselor. The guidance counselors have all the information and permission forms that need to be signed by a parent or guardian. For further information concerning this matter, please go to the Virginia Department of Labor and Industry’s website at: http://www.doli.virginia.gov/

Noodling finds Career/Resume Info
Hi Guys,
This may not be the 'wheel', but in case you weren't aware,
CHPL website has links to Job Sites online, Career Assistance,
and Resume templates. As some of our folks have trouble downloading
the Microsoft templates these may be more accessible.
From the Bistro Catalog homepage Go to CHPL Hompage link
at bottom of screen
Click "Adult" in Quick Links at upper right
Float down and under "Resources for Adult Readers", Click "Local Links"
The Subject List on the Right Side lists "Careers" http://www.co.henrico.va.us/library/DBWeb/careers.html
That brings you to a page with links for:
Getting Started
Resumes
Cover Letters
And to Sites listing Federal, State, Metro and U.S. Jobs
