ILL Renewals

ILL Renewal Policy fast facts!
-renewals must be requested five days before their due date
-renewals are not guranteed and depend on the policy of the lending library
-in some cases, multiple renewals are allows, in others, they are not
-renewals do not have to be done in person
-any member of ref staff can submit a renewal request

Renewal Procedures!
1) If someone requests an ILL renewal, check the due date of the item.
2) If the item is eligible for renewal, send an email to Richard Thompson and cc me.
3) Make a notation at the top of the record in the binder of the day the renewal was requested.
4) If a renewal is not possible, you can send another request for the same item.

If you're really busy...
1) Just make a notation at the top of the record in the binder of the day the renewal was requested.
2) Send me an email letting me know that I need to submit a request to Richard.

Thanks for your help guys!

ILL binder clarification

Just to clarify, I do need a copy of the second screen with the book title and info... what I don't need is the second pages of the first and second screen. The info that carries over to the next page is unnecessary. Sorry if my cheat sheets were confusing; I have printed a new one that is more clear!

ILL Procedures

I made a little cheat sheet for the ILL process... if you have a sec, flip to the front of the ILL notebook and review just to make sure that we are all doing the same thing.

PS. I am on a kick to use half the amount of paper when printing ILLs so make sure to read that part! Save trees :)

ILL notebook

YIPES! The ILL notebook seems to be missing... if anyone has seen it, let me know! Until we find it again, just email me letting me know of any returns so I can take them out of the notebook when it resurfaces. Thanks!
