Single Day Collection Events
Chesterfield, Henrico, and Richmond Police and the Hanover County Sheriff's Office have joined forces with The Central Virginia Crime Prevention Association and Shred-it to offer free document shredding collection events during Crime Prevention Month. Bring (to one of the locations listed below) up to 4 boxes ( 10"x13"x18") OR 6 paper grocery bags of your personal information to be shredded free.

The following locations provide shredding services for a fee:

Shred It
Tomlyn St (off Westwood Avenue)
Accepts walk-ins. Fee is $40 for up to 4 boxes of documents.
Also offers service at your home - ability to shred 12-14 boxes for $90.

Monkey Help

Hi all,

Nancy Ways, called today her husband is doing a program for senior citizens on monkeys. She has enough books but she was looking for other ways to enchance the program. I put on hold a cd that has monkey sounds on it and printed out some monkey finger rhymes. If you can think of a something else that might be helpful, please let me know. She doesn't want a video since the nursing home doesn't have a large tv and some of their eyesights are bad. I have left the print out behind the info desk with her name .
